Terms of Service

1. Eligibility and accounts

You must be at least 13 to use Electrolyte Chef. If you are below the age of legal majority where you live, your parent or legal guardian must review and agree to these Terms for you. This eligibility rule does not mean a recipe is suitable for a child or teenager.

Provide accurate account information, protect your credentials, and do not impersonate others. A signed-in account, verified email, and unique username are required to submit recipes or comments. You can use email and password, Google, or Apple where available. Guest ratings use an anonymous account reference. Tell us if you suspect unauthorized account use.

2. General recipes, not medical advice

The service provides general food and drink information intended for adult use. It does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, treatment, a clinician-patient relationship, pediatric dosing, or medical oral rehydration formulas. Do not use it to treat illness or decide whether to seek care. Consult a qualified clinician about children, medical conditions, prescribed diets, or medicines affecting fluids or electrolytes.

You are responsible for selecting appropriate food-grade ingredients, checking labels and allergens, measuring accurately, preparing and storing food appropriately, and deciding whether a recipe suits your circumstances. Scaling changes batch size, not individual intake recommendations. Nutrition, spoon equivalents, and product comparisons are estimates. Recipes and moderation are not clinical or laboratory validation.

3. Free service and optional shopping links

Electrolyte Chef is free to use and has no subscription. Optional ingredient links lead to external retailers. As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases. Affiliate links may earn us a commission without an additional affiliate fee to you; purchases are not required to use the app.

Retailers control availability, ingredients, prices, payments, shipping, returns, and their own terms. Check the actual product before buying. We may update or disable links and do not guarantee that a linked listing matches a recipe indefinitely. Direct order or billing questions to the retailer.

4. Your recipes, comments, and ratings

You retain ownership of content you submit. You confirm that you have the rights and permissions needed to share it. You grant Nexceed, LLC a nonexclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to store, reproduce, format, review, edit, display, and distribute it as needed to operate Electrolyte Chef, including its public recipe and comment files. Our service providers may perform these functions for us. This permission is limited to operating the service.

Approved recipes and comments are public with the chosen username. Do not include sensitive personal information or information about others without permission. We may decline, edit, remove, or restrict content for quality, safety, rights, or moderation reasons. Publication is not guaranteed. Ratings are user opinions and must not be manipulated.

Delete your account and associated contributions from Account, or request removal of particular content through support. After removal, we stop new publication of your content, subject to lawful retention; existing cached or independently saved copies may remain as described in our Privacy Policy.

5. Acceptable use and reporting

Use the service lawfully. Do not submit dangerous instructions, unsupported treatment claims, harassment, hate, sexual exploitation, illegal material, spam, impersonation, private information, or content that infringes another person's rights. Do not interfere with security, bypass usage limits, automate abusive voting, or introduce malicious code.

Use the in-app Report controls for content or author concerns and Block author to hide an author’s contributions. Reports are private to authorized operators. You may also report content or rights concerns to electrolytechef@nexceed.com, identifying the material and reason for the report. We may suspend access or remove content when reasonably necessary to protect users, the service, or legal rights.

6. Ownership and brand references

Nexceed, LLC or its licensors own the app's software, design, branding, and editorial materials. We grant you a personal, limited, nonexclusive, revocable license to use the service lawfully. Other brands retain their trademarks. “Inspired by,” “similar to,” and copycat descriptions identify independent approximations, not exact formulas, endorsement, sponsorship, or affiliation.

7. Availability and disclaimers

We may change features, correct recipes, or suspend or discontinue service. Cached information can be outdated. To the extent permitted by law, the service and content are provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of accuracy, completeness, availability, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or noninfringement. We do not guarantee a taste, nutritional, hydration, or health outcome.

8. Liability and consumer rights

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Nexceed, LLC and its personnel, affiliates, and licensors are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from use of the service or its content. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability or consumer rights that applicable law does not permit us to exclude or limit.

9. Changes and governing law

We will update the effective date when these Terms change and provide additional notice when required. These Terms are governed by Texas law, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Disputes belong in state or federal courts in Travis County, Texas, unless applicable law requires otherwise. If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue. Terms that must logically survive termination continue to apply.
